When Jefe – The Jerky Hunter asked us where the word jerky came from, we shared that it originates from the Quechuan language, with the word charqui, meaning “to burn meat.”

Jefe then said, “If it’s any meat, why don’t I bring you something so you can make some jerky?” And with that, Buck-A-Licious was born.
